Delivery
A big part of what NTC is doing is delivery of the clothes and things that is collected in Denmark. This is an ongoing project, since the needs are so enormously big.
Most of it is delivered in Romania.
The clothes is sorted and packed in boxes, and sent to the storage in Apahida. From here it is distributed in co-operation with the local partners.

When a transport is sent, there will always be at least one NTC worker going with it, and together with the local partners they will ensure that help gets to the right place and the right people.A common thing for all recipients is that they are in a situation where it is not possible for them to get the things needed for daily life.
For many of them it is a struggle just to get food for the family, and it is a great help when they can get clothes and other things they need from NTC.
Eksamples on donated tings:
- Clothes and shoes
- Prams and baby equipment
- Kitchen things – pots, cups etc.
- Blankets and duvets
- Toys
- Bicycles
- Soap, tooth brushes etc.
The examples below shows a little bit about what it means to people:
- In Gilau some of the donated things were toys. It was used in the village as Christmas presents for the children. Many of these children never had an present for Christmas before.
- Pata Rât is a gipsy community a few kilometers outside of Cluj. They literally live on top of an old dump, and they live in simple shacks without water, electricity or heating. Donations from NTC make a huge difference for them – for example the difference between bare feet in the snow or a warm pair of boots from one of NTC’s deliveries, or a blanket to use during the cold time of the year.
NTC also supported a project, where some of the children gets the opportunity to get away from their nornal surroundings and attend a camp for children for some days during the summer.
- In a village a family with 11 children received clothes, toys and baby equipment.
- Teddy bears and dolls caused joy among children with cancer in a hospital in Cluj.
